September 2001

Welcome to the September issue of HOT Off The Press. We are so glad you are able to join us.

With the recent terrorist attacks on America, many of us are looking for old friends. So, I have started a thread on our public bulletin board for you. As I get email from those wishing to let others know they are ok, I am posting their messages. All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom right corner of this page. You'll see a RECENT DISCUSSIONS box. Click on the thread called "Roll Call For NY Friends". If that specific topic isn't there, just click on another topic. You'll be taken to the same bulletin board where you can search for the thread. Also, read what Gabby has to say about this week's events in
The Soap Box.

And now, on with the sh0w!

This month
tkt sez Madonna is HOT. I'll bet you didn't get to see her live in concert yourself. Well never fear, tkt did. And she has a HOT review ready for you. You can also be At The Movies with tkt while she reviews Rush Hour 2. That's one busy girl, eh? Yes, tkt really gets around! ;)

So, what is better than one featured writer? How about two! Check out
Bunny Sez / Coug Sez to win a great prize. Want to know who won our August drawing? Check out Book Beat for the answer.

The September 11th Fund

On September 11, 2001, America was hit with the worst strike of terrorism in history. Attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington D.C., have resulted in countless injuries and the loss of thousands of lives.

In response to these attacks,
United Way and The New York Community Trust have established The September 11th Fund. Your contribution will be used to help respond to the immediate and longer-term needs of the victims, their families, and communities affected by the events of
September 11.

Please note, 100% of your contribution will be used to support these efforts. United Way and The Community Trust are underwriting all administrative costs.

You can contribute online at their website, or call
1-800-710-8002
