I Wanna Rock! It is rumored that Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson are now engaged! Reportedly, Kid Rock bought Pamela Anderson a 150,000 engagement ring. They are supposedly tying the knot in California before the summer ends. There is only one problem -- Pam wants to live in California while he Rock wants to stay in Motown. "We're in love. She's the sweetest, nicest, most beautiful person I have ever met, and we're the same in a lot of ways" said Kid Rock, who's real name is Bob Ritchie. Now this is one of her marriages that I fully endorse. As a matter of fact, as a leagally ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, I volunteer to perform the ceremony myself.

Let's Hope For A Speedy Recovery Comedian Bob Hope continues to gain strength as he recovers from a bout of pneumonia. The 98-year-old entertainer returned home from the hospital by the end of the Labor Day holiday weekend. Dr. Lee Kagan told reporters he was surprised at the speed of Hope's recovery since he was admitted to Providence St. Joseph Hospital in serious condition after experiencing shortness of breath. He went on to say that the legendary comedian remains on antibiotics and is receiving nourishment intravenously, but is requiring less supplemental oxygen. He also said Hope "looks stronger" than he did earlier in the week. Yes Death Poll contestants, Mr. Hope is still with us. So much for your 2 points, eh?

It's A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood
It's the end of a television era: pioneering children's TV host Mr. Rogers (aka Fred Rogers) has taken off his trademark cardigan for the last time. The final original episode of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood aired August 31st on PBS affiliates around the country. Of course, viewers tuning in would never know it was the 73-year-old's swan song. Before leaving his living room, he promised (as he has in every episode since the show's debut in 1968) that he would be right back. And thanks to reruns, he will be. Thank goodness he's coming back! It's time to wash all those colored sweaters that have been hanging in his closet for the last 33 years, and I aint doing it.
