This month we go globetrotting to
Hawaii.
The Pacific Ocean surrounding all the Hawaiin islands is
a gorgeous blue. The reflection of the clear blue sky
above only intensifies the color. And, the water is
always the perfect temperature, good for swimming
year-round!
Make sure you pick the right place to stay. These cabanas
at the Royal Lahaina Resort on Kaanapali Beach on the
island of Maui are right on the beach!
Traditional Hula shows are still very popular. Many of
the larger hotels have luaus nightly, which feature many
forms of the Hula. I suggest attending a luau, if only
for the poi. Ok, who's with me??
The USS Arizona Memorial spans the site of the sunken
ship in Pearl Harbor on the island of Oahu. This memorial
serves to remind us of the nearly 1200 men who lost their
lives on the Arizona on December 7, 1941.
