Quiz #9

Welcome to NMLQOTM Number Nine, featuring 27 new challenges to your "Name That Tune" talents. Once again, you'll find that the lyrics have been presented in alphabetical order by artists' names. Be sure to provide the artist and title as identified on the record release.

NMLQOTM #9 covers a range from 1962 to 1991, and includes a heavier-than-usual concentration of top 10 songs.

Keep your eyes out for the theme that's hidden within the 27 songs below. As you know by now, the themes can incorporate elements from the lyrics, artists or titles of the songs - or any combination of the three. Identifying the theme should prove a rewarding mental exercise - and if that's not enough of an incentive, correct identification will be used to break any ties amongst the highest scorers.

If you are new to the NMLQOTM - or even if you've played a while now - it's always helpful to review the official rules. Note that precision counts when it comes to scoring the submissions - be sure to give the exact song title and the exact artist attribution for each song;
dot your "i"s and cross your "t"s! Watch your p's, q's, commas and "the"s!

Good luck - I truly hope you enjoy this edition of the quiz!

The submission deadline for this quiz will be Friday, February 25th at 11:59 pm (eastern).
